"We are all related"

Red Eagle Ranch supports the Native American community by hosting a Pow Wow and "Indian Nation's Cup" polo benefit match.  The proceeds benefit children on reservations by promoting education, self-determination, and self-reliance.

This celebration combines thundering hooves with the heartbeat of the drum, and the excitement of polo with the grace and athleticism of Native American dancers.

What is a Pow Wow?
Pow Wows are gatherings for Native Americans from different tribes to come together to celebrate their heritage through singing and dancing.
It's a time to get together with friends and family, and an opportunity to make new friends.  Pow Wows are also spiritual ceremonies and should be treated with respect and honor by all who attend.

Central to the Pow Wow is the drum, the heartbeat of the Indian people and their culture.  The singers provide the music, sung usually in their native language.  And the dancers in their beautiful regalia, dance traditional, hoop, eagle, jingle, and grass dances.  Usually at the close of a Pow Wow, the spectators are invited to participate in a round dance.

Stay tuned for our next Pow Wow being planned for September!
